Dahlias in Light from a Window

Dahlias in warm reds and magentas complemented by cool green shadows seen through a window. The cast shadows shifted as the day progressed. The painting became very tactile. The form tends towards being amorphous as the colour and paint itself become dominant. A painting that can be very absorbing to look at close up.

External measurements: Width 57.5cm x Height 47.5cm x Depth 4.5cm (22.6 x 18.7 x 1.8 inches). Signed and labeled on the back of the picture and the back of the frame. Signature in lower left corner of painting. Ready to hang.
